Chelsea are reportedly set to make a late bid to sign Angelo Ogbonna from West Ham United, with Gianluca Di Marzio claiming that Antonio Conte wants a reunion with his compatriot.
The new Blues boss has been vocal in his wish to land an extra option at the heart of his rearguard but as yet defensive cover has not been added to the squad he inherited earlier this summer.

Conte knows Ogbonna well from their mutual time together at Juventus and the trainer has selected the colossus while manager of the Italian national side.
The former Torino centre-half formed an excellent partnership with Winston Reid for the Hammers last season and Slaven Bilic will surely be keen to keep the Italian.
However, it remains to be seen just how much money Chelsea offer for Ogbonna, with time ticking away in their race to land a new defender before the transfer window closes late on Wednesday night.
