The Blues resigned David Luiz this summer on transfer deadline day but it is expected that the Italian trainer will look for another experienced option in January or at the end of the current season.
Ramos has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past, with Manchester United touted with an approach for the Spanish defender a couple of seasons ago.
The report suggests that Madrid president Florentino Perez is willing to cash-in on Ramos and that Chelsea are the former Sevilla man’s major suitor.
Chelsea have also been linked with the likes of Leonardo Bonucci and Michael Keane over the last couple of weeks.
Ramos is currently on the treatment table and is expected to be out of action for a month after picking up an injury while on international duty with Spain.
