Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer £20 million for Germany international defender Jonas Hector, The Mirror report.
The 26-year-old Koln star made the left-back position his own for Joachim Low’s men at Euro 2016 and is an important player for club and country.
Antonio Conte’s men are believed to be active in the transfer market and a number of signings are expected at Stamford Bridge to join new additions N’Golo Kante and Michy Batshuayi before the window closes at the end of August.

Left-back has been something of a problem position for the Blues in recent times, with Cesar Azpilicueta playing out of position to fill the role over the last couple of seasons.
With Baba Rahman farmed out on loan, the West London side do not currently have many comprehensive options in the defensive position and as such a raid for Hector could make sense.
If the German was added to the Chelsea squad, it would allow Azpilicueta to feature in his more natural right-back slot and add options for Conte in his defence.
Liverpool have also been linked with Hector of late, while the defender has also signed a new contract with Koln recently which could cast a major doubt over any transfer.
