Chelsea are closing in on a deal to resign former defender David Luiz from Paris Saint-Germain, with Antonio Conte’s men ready to spend £32 million on the Brazilian centre-half according to The Daily Mail.
The Blues parted company with the tempestuous defender for a whopping £50 million in 2014, with the South American playing a role in the French capital city side’s domestic success in recent years.
However, Antonio Conte is desperate to land a new defender before the transfer window closes later today and a number of targets are believed to have been taken off limits.

The West London side have been linked with efforts to sign the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly and Alessio Romagnoli, but these approaches are very unlikely to materialise.
PSG have the likes of Marquinhos and Thiago Silva in their backline currently and as such they may consider letting Luiz go.
The Brazil international has always been good on the ball and has a wicked long-range shot, but his defensive discipline has been called into question for both club and country.
