Chelsea are readying a £25 million offer for Burnley central defender Michael Keane, according to The Mirror.
Blues manager Antonio Conte was outspoken over the summer about his desire to sign a new centre-half and brought former charge David Luiz back to the Premier League on transfer deadline day.

However, following poor form in the last fortnight, question marks have been raised over the West London club’s rearguard.
A 3-0 Premier League defeat away to Arsenal on Saturday is expected to be met with repercussions from the former Juventus trainer, who will surely reinstate John Terry to his team for the next fixture.
The latest report suggests that Conte is not happy with the defensive players at his disposal and will look to move for Keane in the January window.
The former Manchester United defender has looked at ease this term with the Clarets and played a role in Burnley beating Watford 2-0 in the Premier League on Monday night, scoring one of his side’s goals.
Chelsea have been touted with a move for a number of Englishmen to act as long-term replacements for Terry in recent years, with scope for Keane to add to the Blues’ options at the back.
Conte used the 3-5-2 formation at Juventus to great effect and as such it seems like only a matter of time before he switches to this system at Stamford Bridge.
