Chelsea are ready to splash £17 million on Fiorentina full-back Marcos Alonso according to The Mirror.
The Blues have added Michy Batshuayi and N’Golo Kante to their squad this summer so far but Antonio Conte has been vocal over his desire to sign more players before the transfer window closes on Wednesday.

Left-back has been a problem area for the Stamford Bridge club for some time, with Cesar Azpilicueta playing out of position in recent seasons to fill the void.
With Baba Rahman also farmed out on loan, Chelsea boss Conte feels his side are light in the full-back position.
Alonso knows English football after spending three years on the books of Bolton and spend a loan stint at Sunderland.
Since signing for Fiorentina the 25-year-old has been an impressive weapon for the Viola and starred at either left-back or as a wing-back.
The report suggests that Conte is weighing up a £17 million offer to bring Alonso to West London as competition for compatriot Azpilicueta.
