Dembele is something of an online sensation, with his skills and exploits being watched by expectant fans of Youtube.
The report suggests that City want to bolster their allocation of young stars and will be willing to compensate Celtic handsomely and pay for the teenager’s private schooling in Manchester.
Celtic have a good relationship with the Premier League club and have loaned John Guidetti, Dedryck Boyata and Jason Denayer from the Etihad Stadium outfit in recent years.
The clubs played out an entertaining 3-3 draw at Parkhead in the Champions League recently, with Pep Guardiola believed to have been impressed with Kieran Tierney and Moussa Dembele in the clash.
