Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is interested in bringing Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Dale Stephens to Scotland in the summer, The Express are reporting.
The English midfielder’s contract runs out at the end of this season and he is believed to be stalling over signing an extension.

Newly promoted side Burnley submitted several bids for the 26-year-old in the previous transfer window but all of them were rejected.
Stephens has worked his way up through the divisions, playing for Oldham Athletic and Bury, before moving to Charlton Athletic in 2011 and then Brighton in 2014 and he may well see this as his chance to move to a big club.
The south-coast side are currently second in the Championship and competing for promotion to the English top flight.
Rodgers will be hoping that the lure of Champions League football will persuade the English midfielder to join him in Scotland instead of signing for a Premier League side.
Stephens has made 13 appearances in the Championship for Brighton this season, scoring one goal.
The prospect of playing in Europe’s most prestigious competition could well prove to be the factor that makes the player leave the south coast for Scotland.
