Celtic have revealed that youngster Jack Aitchison has joined Alloa Athletic on loan until the end of the season.
The Scottish Champions broke the news on their official website, as the 18-year-old will spend the remainder of the current campaign in the Championship.
Aitchison has already featured three times for Celtic, including a goal-scoring debut in a 7-0 victory over Motherwell in May 2016.
The striker’s competitive debut for the Hoops also made him the youngest player to feature for the club, as he wrote his name in the history books.
Aitchison could have a big future at the Celtic, and will be hoping to gain more first team experience during his spell with Alloa Athletic.
If the 18-year-old can nail down a permanent spot between now and the end of the season, it could be a great opportunity for the youngster to show what he is capable of.
Aitchison hasn’t featured for Celtic so far this campaign, but has spent a month on-loan with Scottish League One outfit Dumbarton.
In the four games that the striker started during that period he failed to find the net, however he will be hoping for a better return this time out.
Chances at Celtic have been hard to come by for Aitchison, but a successful spell elsewhere could help the youngster’s development and in turn, his chances of breaking into the first team.
