Glasgow Celtic will be looking to record another Scottish Premiership victory when they face off against St Johnstone on Wednesday night.
The Scottish top-flight title race has not been as easy this term as it has been for Brendan Rodgers’ Bhoys team in recent years, with other sides pushing them at the top of the table.
Celtic will however be the favourites to lift the title at this stage and can go six points clear at the top should they defeat sixth-place St Johnstone.
Rodgers’ Hoops side will be confident of winning the game and won the fixture played between the two sides earlier this term 6-0.
Defender Filip Benkovic, who is on loan with Celtic from Leicester City, is carrying a knock and will be assessed before the game, as reported by Sky Sports.
Meanwhile, Bhoys midfielder Tom Rogic has returned to the club from international duty with Australia but will not play in the game.
The Socceroos failed to defend their 2015 Asian Cup title as they fell to a shock 1-0 loss against the United Arab Emirates during the quarter finals of the competition, meaning the Celtic playmaker has returned to Glasgow earlier than expected.
The likes of Dedryck Boyata, Anthony Ralston, Olivier Ntcham, Odsonne Edouard, Kieran Tierney and Daniel Arzani are all set to miss out due to injuries also, added Sky Sports.
Striker Leigh Griffiths is taking time away from the game due to personal reasons. The club’s new signing Vakoun Issouf Bayo, who arrived at the club this month from Dunajska Streda, is still adapting to life in Scotland and this will understandably take time.
