Glasgow Celtic will be looking to record yet another victory when they face off against St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have been in good form recently and have managed to win their last four successive games in all competitions.
The Premiership has not been as easy for them this season as compared to previous campaigns but Celtic currently hold a three-point advantage over second-placed Rangers and will be the favourites to lift the trophy at this stage.
The Hoops strengthened their side on deadline day as they recruited right back Jeremy Toljan on loan from Borussia Dortmund until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old appeared to be surplus to requirements at the Signal Iduna Park since the arrival of Lucien Favre as the German club’s manager but he does have a lot of potential and is very much capable of being a success in Scotland.
Rodgers has said that he will need to assess the fitness of the German before the game on Sunday as he needs to get match fitness, according to a report published by Sky Sports.
The report also added that Hoops midfielder Tom Rogic will be out of action for up to six weeks. The Australian international suffered a knock while he was on international duty for the Socceroo’s during the recent Asian Cup.
Filip Benkovic is out of action for another four to five weeks due to an ankle problem. Leigh Griffiths is taking time off from the game due to personal reasons while new striker Voukoun Issouf Bayo is still getting familiar with his new surroundings.
The likes of Dedryck Boyata, Anthony Ralston, Olivier Ntcham,Kieran Tierney, Eboue Kouassi and Daniel Arzani will all be out of action for Celtic.
