Celtic face the biggest match of their season so far on Thursday evening, when they welcome RB Leipzig to Celtic Park in the Europa League, and they will be without a number of players, according to BBC Sport.
The Bhoys began the group campaign strongly with a win over Rosenborg in their opening match, but successive defeats since then has left them needing to beat the Bundesliga side or else face up to the strong likelihood that they will be eliminated from the competition.
Celtic haven’t really got going in Europe this term which will have disappointed them, but they are not done yet, and if they can beat Leipzig they will suddenly be in a position where they can qualify for the knockout stages.
In a boost to that happening, Brendan Rodgers is set to have midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu available after the African star has returned from injury.
His availability will be a real fillip for the Bhoys boss as he remains without a number of players. Influential captain Scott Brown and Eboue Kouassi are both absent from the centre of the pitch, while Leigh Griffiths is also out.
News broke earlier in the week that on loan winger Daniel Arzani will miss the remainder of the campaign, so he has joined the above trio on the sidelines as well as Jozo Simunovic and Cristian Gamboa who were already there.
Despite the crazy amount of injuries Rodgers is having to deal with lately, he will know RB Leipzig will be facing a different Celtic side to the one that travelled to Germany in the previous round of fixtures.
Since then his side have won a Betfred Cup semi-final against Hearts, and thrashed the same opposition in the Scottish Premiership, as they have appeared to have found a real roll.
Bhoys supporters will be hoping their side can continue to ride that wave of positive energy, on what is a huge night under the lights at Celtic Park.
