Houston Dynamo striker Alberth Elis is reportedly keen to ply his trade in Europe and had been linked with a move to Scottish giants Celtic, according to the Daily Record.
The 22-year-old Elis is an exciting young talent. During the 2018 Major League Soccer season, the Honduran managed to score 11 goals and provide nine assists from 30 appearances.
However, MailSports chief writer Stephen McGowen, who is quite knowledgeable regarding Scottish football rumours, has indicated on social media that a transfer will not happen.
Not happening. Regardless of 'talent and pedigree' https://t.co/WPpYDCqhqw

Celtic have signed two strikers this January with PSG attacker Timothy Weah joining on-loan and Vakoun Issouf Bayo permanently. Given that the two strikers have been added, and with Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths already in the squad, it would be pointless to add another forward.
American international Weah, who is the son of football legend George Weah, joins on a six-month loan deal. The youngster is a talented player but has been unable to break into the PSG side on a regular basis due to the world-class talent which the French giants have within their ranks.
He is a player whom Hoops fans can be excited about. He will also get an opportunity to prove himself at the highest level by joining Brendan Rogders and gain invaluable experience.
Bayo is something of an unknown entity and will need to fight for a place in the Celtic side.
The Scottish champions have been forced to act as struggles in front of goal this season after the summer sale of Moussa Dembele have equalled the playing field.
Celtic are top of the table currently on goal difference from Rangers, but have a game in hand.
