Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard is a target for three Italian clubs but all of them are being put off by his price tag, according to Napoli Online.
The Bhoys are seeing more and more interest in their star striker, a man who is scoring goals for fun and enhancing his reputation seemingly on a daily basis at Celtic Park right now.
Celtic fans were reassured that they wouldn’t be losing their key forward in January, when boss Neil Lennon confirmed he is not looking to sell his prized asset, but that hasn’t stopped the attention coming in his direction.
Serie A trio Lazio, Roma and Napoli are all said to have interest in Edouard, but if the Bhoys are to sell him, they are certainly not going to let him go on the cheap.
Celtic sold Moussa Dembele for big money when they brought the France under-21 international in as his replacement, and it has been suggested that the forward could go for as much as his countryman when he eventually does depart Glasgow, a fee of around £20 million, which will put a lot of interested suitors off such a move.
Edouard is currently contracted with the Bhoys until the end of the 2021-22 season, so there is no need for the Scottish giants to panic over when to sell him.
They will be reluctant to depart with his services anytime soon, because as it stands he is the only fit striker Celtic have, and they have some important matches coming up.
Edouard may well have caught the attention of the Italian trio when he featured in both of the Bhoys matches against Lazio in the Europa League recently.
His 13 goals in all competitions this season have the 21-year-old Celtic star as one of the leading scorers in Scottish football, a record the Celtic Park fan base will be hoping he can build upon in the coming weeks.
