Celtic are set to lose the race for Chelsea’s young starlet Dominic Solanke to Liverpool, according to The Sun.
Several top clubs were alerted to his availability when he didn’t reach an agreement on a new contract with the London side after they did not meet his £50,000 a week demand.

With youngster Moussa Dembele becoming a hit in Glasgow, Brendan Rodgers was hoping to lure the 19-year-old to Scotland in a similar deal to bolster his attacking options and secure a future star for the team.
However, the ex-Liverpool manager is reportedly set to lose Solanke to his former club, as the player has told people he is joining Jurgen Klopp’s side when his current Chelsea deal ends this summer.
The English forward has been with the Blues since 2004 and has risen through the ranks at Stamford Bridge and in 2014 became the youngest player to play for the club in the Champions League.
Despite this, it is the only senior appearance he has and he was loaned out to Vitesse Arnhem last season and looks set to leave the capital for good over the summer.
Financial reasons are reportedly why the Scottish side have been unable to secure Solanke’s signature, with Liverpool allegedly offering him a better deal.
