Celtic picked up on Saturday where they left off last season, winning their first league game of the 2017-18 campaign at a canter, beating Hearts 4-1.
Goals from Scott Sinclair, Callum McGregor and a Leigh Griffiths double ensured a comprehensive victory for the Scottish champions, who dominated the affair from the first whistle.
After sitting out the 1-0 win over Rosenborg in midweek, new Celtic signing Olivier Ntcham was given the nod to play against Hearts at Parkhead.
The new man partnered skipper Scott Brown in the centre of the park for the Hoops and between them dominated the play and possession for the Bhoys.
Hopes are high that Ntcham can be a driving force for Celtic this season, with the former Manchester City man joining on a reported £4.5 million deal.
The French midfielder has experience of playing in Serie A with Genoa, with the 21-year-old expected to be a first-team regular for Brendan Rodgers’ men this term.
Ntcham operated just in front of the Celtic defence against Hearts, allowing Brown to break forward and the new man orchestrated the home side’s play from deep.
His range of passing and coolness in possession certainly caught the eye, with the former City starlet looking assured in the Bhoys ranks.
Ntcham’s addition means competition for places in the Celtic midfield is set to be hotly contested, with Callum McGregor dropping to the bench for the game against Hearts.
The Bhoys fans were quick to take to Twitter in the aftermath of the victory over their Edinburgh-based opponents, with the majority impressed by their summer signing.
The Celtic supporters picked out Ntcham’s distribution as a positive feature, with his burgeoning partnership alongside Brown also catching the eye of the Parkhead faithful. Here are the best tweets:

Thought McGregor played well today the longer the game went on. Griffiths was outstanding. Big Ntcham strolled it.

Could only catch the 1st half. Impressed with Ntcham's passing with either foot and always to his teammate's strong side. #Celtic
