Celtic fans saw their side return to Scottish Premiership action with a bang when they thrashed Dundee 5-0 on Wednesday evening, and they were quick to drool over the performance of one of their attacking stars after the final whistle.

The Bhoys headed to Dens Park still buoyant from securing their spot in the Betfred Cup final with a win over Hearts at Murrayfield on Sunday, and they picked up where they left off against the side currently sitting bottom of the top flight table.

At no stage did Brendan Rodgers’ men ever look in trouble against Dundee, and when Tom Rogic opened the scoring after 20 minutes with a wonderful strike, the result was always going one way.

The Australian playmaker was making his return to league action after a spell on the sidelines with injury, and he was quick to remind Bhoys fans what they had been missing.

Not only did he find the net with a top quality strike, but his all-round performance was strong as he shone in the 5-0 victory for the 57 minutes that he was on the pitch, before he was replaced by his international colleague Daniel Arzani.

Celtic have been a better side with Rogic in it for a while, and that was certainly the case on Wednesday evening, as the Aussie pulled the strings in one of the most dominant performances the Glasgow giants have delivered all campaign.

The Bhoys take on Hearts in a table topping showdown in the Scottish Premiership at Celtic Park on Saturday, and their supporters will be hoping to see a similar display from their creative spark in that match.

Those fans raved over the performance of the Australian against Dundee on social media, with many of them in awe, both at the quality of his opening goal and his overall showing.
