Glasgow Rangers announced earlier in the week that they have signed Liverpool starlet Sheyi Ojo on loan for the upcoming season, and their supporters have been reacting to the news on social media.

The Gers were expected to raid Merseyside for young players with current Ibrox boss beginning his managerial career in charge in the academy set up at Anfield, and after Ryan Kent spent time across the border last term, the England under-21 international is set to do likewise.

Rangers will be the sixth side the Liverpool ace will have spent time on loan with, after previous spells with Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham, Reims and Reims II.

In that time the new Gers man has played more than 70 times in senior competitions, as he looks to build up a CV which will see him break into the first-team set up at Anfield in the future.

With the attacking core of this current Liverpool side looking so strong, the winger is going to need to do something impressive in his time at Rangers in order to catch the eye of Jurgen Klopp moving forward.

He will have the ideal platform to perform on while with the Gers however. Gerrard is looking to mould a squad capable of winning the Scottish Premiership title, while the Ibrox club are also in the Europa League too.

He should be a decent fit for Rangers at this stage of his career, and their supporters were quick to welcome him when reacting to his signing on social media, shortly after the news of his addition was announced.

Ojo will hope to thrill those fans regularly in his time in Glasgow, and has all the trickery and credentials to do that in what might be a special campaign for the Gers.
