Marseille centre-half Doria has confessed that he would be open to a move to Premier League giants Chelsea amid rumours the Blues are keeping a close eye on him.

Antonio Conte has switched to a three-man central defence in recent weeks, with the West London outfit looking markedly improved with the new system.

However, the Premier League side are being touted with a move for a new centre-half to bolster their options at the back in the January transfer window.

With reports that a move for Doria could be on the cards, the South American enforcer has admitted that he is flattered by the links to the Stamford Bridge side.

“Yes, I heard about [Chelsea’s reported interest] through social media,” the 21-year-old told Canal Football Club.

“But I think that I need to continue to do my work. We have played eight games, I need to continue.

“I don’t know [if it is true]. I found out about it like you did. But that should not stop one from dreaming, they are one of biggest clubs in Europe.

“I am happy about these rumours, but what is most important is to continue playing well.”

Chelsea bought Michy Batshuayi from Marseille in the summer and as such know the French south coast club well.

Doria has been given his chance at the Stade Velodrome this season after a loan stint at Granada last term and has impressed in starting eight Ligue 1 games in 2016-17.
