Record Bournemouth signing Jefferson Lerma is poised to make his debut for the south coast side in the Carabao Cup against MK Dons, according to Sky Sports News.
Having arrived from La Liga side Levante in the summer transfer window for a club record fee of £25 million, Lerma is yet to feature for Bournemouth.
Predominantly a combative, energetic defensive midfielder, the Colombia international is also equally adept playing at right back and the Carabao Cup clash against MK Dons, should be the perfect match to ease Lerma into the Bournemouth side.
At just 23, Lerma arguably has his best years ahead of him and under Cherries boss Eddie Howe, there is no reason why he can’t significantly add to his price tag over the next few years.
Bournemouth have had bright start to the new Premier League season and are currently unbeaten, thanks to a combination of a rejuvenated Callum Wilson and a never-say-die attitude carried over from last season, which saw them battle back from 2-0 down to draw against Everton last time out.
Lerma over time, will add even more grit to the heart of the Bournemouth side and their Carabao Cup match will be the perfect test for him to cut his teeth in English football.
