Aston Villa have received a boost ahead of their Championship encounter against Sheffield United on Friday as Andre Green is set to return to action as reported by HITC.
The game against the Blades promises to be a key game for the Villains. If they win the game, they will likely break into the top six of the standings which means that they will be in contention for the promotion playoffs.
The game however will also likely be a difficult one for Aston Villa as Sheffield are playing well this season, lying in third place on the standings. They are currently just three points behind the League leaders Norwich City and will be considering their chances of winning the title this season.
The 20-year-old Green returned to Villa Park last month following a successful loan spell with League One high-flyers Portsmouth. During his time with Pompey, the youngster went on to make 12 appearances and scored five goals.
During that time, Green proved that he is certainly capable of playing football in the Championship and that is perhaps why Dean Smith decided to recall him last month.
The player managed to make a 30-minute cameo during the Villains 2-2 draw against Hull City last month.
Green took to social networking site Instagram to indicate that he has made a return to training. It is unlikely that he will start during the game as he is still trying to become match fitness. However, he could be set to make a cameo. Green could provide a much needed boost in quality to the Villains first-team as the final phase of the season approaches.
