Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks was not included in the matchday squad for today’s game with Huddersfield Town due to a thigh injury, the club have confirmed.
The Spurs youth-team graduate is a firm fans favourite and an important player for the North London outfit given his range of passing and creativity from deep.
Winks starred in Tottenham’s midweek Champions League win over Manchester City, playing an important role in dominating the midfield battle against Pep Guardiola’s men.
The club have confirmed on their official Twitter page that the deep-lying playmaker is struggling with a thigh injury, hence his absence against Huddersfield.

With Tottenham to travel to the Etihad Stadium to face City in the second leg of the European quarter-final tie, the Spurs fans will be worried about Winks’ injury.
Mauricio Pochettino is short of options in the heart of his team as Mousa Dembele was sold in January and Eric Dier is currently injured.
Moussa Sissoko and Victor Wanyama started for Tottenham against Huddersfield, but if Winks was not available for the City clash it would certainly be a big worry for Spurs.
