Big news for Tottenham: Key man gives positive update

Tottenham Hotspur star Giovani Lo Celso has taken to Instagram and suggested that his injury is not serious. He suggested that he will be available by the time the Premier League resumes.

The youngster who joined the Lilywhites from Real Betis last summer picked up an injury while he was training a few weeks ago and did not play in Spurs in-house training game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium recently.

He said on social media: “Ready for football again.”

Spurs resume the Premier League in eighth position on the league standings with 41 points from 29 games.

Tottenham have been inconsistent this season and will be hoping for a top-four finish in order to end the season on a good note.

They are seven points adrift of fourth place Chelsea and can ill-afford to drop points at this point of the season.

Prior to the break, Tottenham were struggling to churn out positive results in lieu of having to make do without the services of Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane, two of their most important players.

It is believed that the return of the duo as well as Lo Celso could allow Spurs to bounce back strongly.

There is little doubt that the 24-year-old Lo Celso will feature regularly between now and the end of the season for Jose Mourinho’s side.

He has been one of the few bright sparks in the underwhelming Tottenham side this season.

The Spurs star has so far played 19 Premier League games for the club this season, scoring one goal.

He will be required to add creativity to his Tottenham side for the rest of the campaign.
