Barcelona have named six members of Barça B in their squad for Tuesday’s Champions League tie against Napoli.
The Spanish giants have been hit with the news that Sergi Roberto will be sidelined for at least three weeks, as confirmed by the club’s official website.
Luis Suárez, Ousmane Dembélé and Jordi Alba are all also on the casualty list, as Quique Setién prepares for his first Champions League tie in charge of Barcelona.
Barca’s head coach will also be without new signing Martin Braithwaite, as he isn’t registered to take part in the European competition.
The former Middlesbrough striker made the move to the Nou Camp after the transfer window had shut, as the Spanish side were given special dispensation.
In La Liga, clubs can make an emergency signing if a player is ruled out for more than five months, as is the case with Dembele.
While Braithwaite will not feature in the Champions League, he has made the trip to Napoli alongside his Barcelona teammates.
Setien’s side head into the last 16 first leg off the back of a 5-0 victory over Eibar, with Lionel Messi netting four times in the comfortable win.
Barca are currently two points clear at the top of La Liga, winning four of their last five games in the league to overhaul Real Madrid at the summit.
They are also undefeated in this year’s Champions League, cruising to the knockout stages by winning four and drawing two of their Group F fixtures.
Tuesday evening will mark the first competitive meeting between Barcelona and Napoli, with the away side hoping to continue their great form in both the league and Europe.
The full Barca squad is as follows: Ter Stegen, Semedo, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Arthur, Messi, Neto, Lenglet, Griezmann, Braithwaite, De Jong, Vidal, Umtiti, Junior, Iñaki Peña, Riqui Puig, Alex Collado, Ansu Fati, Ronald Araujo and Sergio Akieme.
