Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is in the crosshairs of Spanish giants Atletico Madrid as the La Liga side prepare for the departure of Diego Simeone, according to The Mirror.
The Argentine trainer has revolutionised the North London club’s fortunes since moving to White Hart Lane from Southampton and is one of the most-respected coaches in the Premier League.

However, Pochettino’s excellent work for Spurs has seemingly not gone unnoticed, with plenty of suitors eyeing him as a potential managerial recruit.
The former Espanyol coach is building a long-term project with Tottenham but is also renowned for his ambition, which will worry Daniel Levy and the Lilywhite fans.
Atletico boss Simeone has refused to extend his contract and could well be set to leave the capital city side at the end of the current campaign.
As such, last season’s beaten Champions League finalists may have to find a replacement and according to the report Pochettino is one of the La Liga outfit’s top targets.
