Aston Villa will host Middlesbrough in the Championship on Tuesday, with many already believing it is a must-win game for Steve Bruce.
Last time out, The Villans only managed a draw with Brentford last Saturday, and the manager will be hoping for a better result.
However, he could be without three of his youngsters, who all had to come off during the goalless draw with The Bees at the weekend.
Andre Green, Josh Onomah and Keinan Davis all had to leave the field, and Bruce has revealed that they are all doubtful for the clash with Boro.
“Greeny has injured his hamstring,” he told the club’s official website.
“With Onomah, we’re not quite sure just yet how bad it is. They are both muscle injuries.
“Davis has picked up a knock too. It’s an issue with his hip.
“It’s been niggling him for 10 days or so and it was sore on Friday.
“We will see how they all are in the next 48 hours.”
There is some good news for Bruce though, with the possibility of having key striker Jonathan Kodjia being available.
The striker, who was the top scorer for the club last season, has returned to full fitness after suffering from a broken ankle and featured for the Under-23’s on Monday night against Southampton.
The Villans have started their league campaign in poor fashion, having won just one and drawing a further three, and were considered by the majority of fans to be a favourite to win promotion back to the Premier League.
Bruce has added experienced heads with John Terry, Christopher Samba and Ahmed Elmohamady, however, they do not seem to have had the impact they would have been expected to make.
