Aston Villa are due to face off in a Premier League clash against table toppers Liverpool at Villa Park on Saturday.
The Villans will head into the clash as firm underdogs but they must nevertheless play to their best and deliver a competitive game against arguably the best team in the country at the moment.
Liverpool will be coming into the game on the back of a penalty shoot-out victory against Arsenal.
The scoreline during their game against the Gunners ended 5-5 and because Jurgen Klopp’s side conceded so many, Villa may feel that they do have what it takes to penetrate the defence of the Reds.
The Midlands side will also head into the contest against the Merseysiders with their heads held high after they managed a confidence boosting 2-1 victory over Wolves in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
Villa have received a major injury boost ahead of the game as manager Dean Smith has declared that club captain Jack Grealish will be available to play, according to a report which was published by Sky Sports.
It was feared that the midfielder may miss the game after he suffered a calf injury during his sides 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City last weekend.
Aston Villa have no major injury concerns to worry about ahead of the game.
They will need to be as positive as they can. If they manage to get a draw or shock win from the game, it would be a major confidence boost.
Losing would not be the end of the world but they must try to at least be competitive.
