Aston Villa are set to play against Brighton and Hove Albion in a Premier League clash at Villa Park on Saturday.
The Villans will fancy their chances of winning the game after they demolished Norwich City 5-1 during their previous fixture.
Villa will however be up against a confident Seagulls side, who defeated Tottenham prior to the international break.
Villa boss Dean Smith does not have too many injury concerns heading into the game apart from Jota, according to a report which was published by Sky Sports.
The game will feature two sides who are in similar positions on the Premier League standings facing off against each other so the game could ultimately come down to who has more luck on the day.
Villa will feel that they will have the edge as they will be playing in front of their own supporters.
Villa also have a good record against Brighton at home. They have yet to lose a home fixture against the Seagulls in all competitions.
The Midlands outfit have won eight times and drawn three out of their 11 home fixtures played against their opponents.
The game will mark the first top-flight fixture between the two sides since a 0-0 draw at Goldstone Ground back in March 1983.
If Villa do manage to win the game, it will mark the first time that they have recorded successive victories in the Premier League since May 2015.
Smith’s mandate for this season is to avoid relegation and there is no doubt that fans will hope that he can score victories against sides such as Brighton.
