Arsenal could fail to bring in Julian Nagelsmann next season as their new boss as Hoffenheim have no intention of letting him leave.
The director of football for the Bundesliga outfit, Alexander Rosen, has confirmed that the young German coach will be remaining at the club and there is absolutely no chance that he will be leaving for the Gunners.
“Julian Nagelsmann will be our coach next season. 100 per cent,” he told Sky in Germany, according to reports made by Sky Sports.
The 30-year-old is believed to be one of the main men wanted by the Emirates hierarchy to replace Arsene Wenger, who has decided to end his 22-year reign with the club.
The north London outfit have been impressed with the coach’s exploits in the Bundesliga, however, it now appears that they could fail to land one of their main targets this summer.
Arsenal are not thought to be without options, with a number of high-profile bosses being considered for the main role at the Emirates Stadium.
The likes of Juventus’ Massimiliano Allegri and Leonardo Jardim of AS Monaco have all been rumoured with a possible move to the Premier League – with Chelsea also reportedly interested – whilst Mikel Arteta has emerged as the favourite for the role.
The former midfielder enjoyed a successful time as a player for the Gunners and many feel he could be ready for the jump into management having spent time at Manchester City under the guidance of Pep Guardiola.
