Arsenal face off against Liverpool in a Premier League clash at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
The match will be the game of the weekend and will feature the only two sides who have won both of their league games so far doing battle.
On paper, Liverpool will be favorites. They will have home advantage and also have dominated the recent meetings between the two clubs.
Arsenal have not recorded a victory over Liverpool during the past eight Premier League games which the clubs have played against each other.
Gunners fans cannot really fault their team even if they lose on the day but Unai Emery’s side will go into the game believing that they can win and a win or a draw will prove that the side are capable of competing against the best in the league.
The Reds have only experienced one defeat at Anfield during their past 41 games in all competitions and that came against Manchester City in January so Arsenal have a difficult task on their hands.
Granit Xhaka and Mesut Ozil are set to undergo late fitness tests due to injury and sickness respectively, according to a report published by BBC Sport.
Arsenal played positive football in general under Emery last season but defensive frailties caused some to believe that they are not worthy of winning major silverware.
They have however looked much more solid since Dani Ceballos joined the club. They can aim to take long-range shots given that Liverpool are fielding second-choice goalkeeper Adrian following an injury to first-choice shot-stopper Alisson.
