Arsenal legend Ian Wright has expressed his delight on Twitter at Eddie Nketiah scoring for Leeds United against Salford City on Tuesday evening.

The 20-year-old forward made his debut for Leeds in their EFL Cup first-round tie against Salford away from home at the Peninsula Stadium.

The youngster opened the scoring for the West Yorkshire outfit in the 43rd minute.

Signed on loan from Premier League club Arsenal on transfer deadline day, Nketiah gave a good account of himself on his debut for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Former Arsenal striker Wright has sent Nketiah a message on Twitter following his heroics, and the 20-year-old forward has responded to the ex-England international’s post.
