Arsenal finally managed to turn their bad Premier League form around with a 3-0 win against Watford at the Emirates Stadium and fans were delighted with the performance of one of their players on social media.

The Gunners were coming off the back of a trip to Italy where they had beaten AC Milan 2-0 in their Europa League match on Thursday and Arsene Wenger would have been hoping his side could carry that momentum with them.

The north London outfit had been on the back of a number of successive defeats, which had included a League Cup final loss against Manchester City, a Premier League clash with the same opponents just days later and an embarrassing showing against Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend.

However, those performances appear to be in the back of their minds at the moment, with Shkodran Mustafi leading their efforts against Watford.

The Germany international defender headed the home side into the lead in the eighth minute and took Arsenal into a half-time lead.

The Gunners then rode through the gears in the second half with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan link up for both goals, with each scoring and setting the other up.

The win keeps Wenger’s side sixth in the Premier League, however, it will give them some added confidence for their clash with the Serie A outfit on Thursday as they look to progress in Europe.

Fans were delighted with the result and praised the performance of Mustafi on social media after the game.

Supporters had stated that he had been superb throughout and were pleased to see him back to near his best, however, they were concerned with the injury he received towards the final 15 minutes of the match.

Here are some of their reactions:
