Arsenal were interested in signing AC Milan wonderkid Manuel Locatelli but had a proposal rejected by the Serie A giants, according to Calcio Mercato.
The teenage midfielder has broken into the Rossoneri first team this season and recently scored the winner for his side against champions Juventus.

Locatelli is still only 18 but the versatile star is being tipped to have a bright future for both club and country after impressive performances over the last six months.
The report suggests that Arsenal had sent scouts to watch the teenager in the Milan youth ranks and were interested in bringing the Italian to North London.
However, after a serious injury to Riccado Montolivo, any suggestion that the San Siro side would let the youngster go were banished.
Locatelli has featured in seven Serie A games so far this season, starting three and is a regular feature of the Italy under-19’s side.
