Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly keeping tabs on Argentinian prospect Naza Bazan Vera, according to The Sun.

The London rivals are rumoured to be amongst a host of Premier League sides chasing the 17-year-old, with Liverpool and West Ham also said to be keen.

Interest in the forward is high, with Villarreal understood to be preparing a bid to lure Bazan Vera to La Liga after learning that he has a European passport.

This would mean that he could move without the need for a work-permit, something that is often a stumbling block when signing youngsters from South America.

Any fee for the Argentine would be negligible due to his age, making him an affordable and realistic target for England and Spain’s elite.

The teenager is set for international recognition with a call up to his nation’s under-20 side, whilst his club Velez Sarsfield have recently allowed him to train with the first team.

They will no doubt be hoping that Bazan Vera resists any advances from abroad and continues his development with the Primera Divison outfit, but a big-money move to a top European league may well be on the cards.
