Interest in the forward is high, with Villarreal understood to be preparing a bid to lure Bazan Vera to La Liga after learning that he has a European passport.
This would mean that he could move without the need for a work-permit, something that is often a stumbling block when signing youngsters from South America.
Any fee for the Argentine would be negligible due to his age, making him an affordable and realistic target for England and Spain’s elite.
The teenager is set for international recognition with a call up to his nation’s under-20 side, whilst his club Velez Sarsfield have recently allowed him to train with the first team.
They will no doubt be hoping that Bazan Vera resists any advances from abroad and continues his development with the Primera Divison outfit, but a big-money move to a top European league may well be on the cards.
