AC Milan and Napoli are interested in Arsenal centre forward Olivier Giroud, according to The Mirror.

The 30-year-old has started just once for the Gunners this season having seen Alexis Sanchez emerge as their main striker.

Despite vowing to stay and fight for his place at the Emirates Stadium, the France international has admitted he is unhappy with his current situation.

“I see my future at Arsenal until the date my contract ends,” he stated this week.

“But I won’t lie, there have been times I’ve been disappointed and not happy with my situation.”

The former Montpellier man has 18 months remaining on his contract but his recent comments have sparked interest from the Italian duo, who are both in the market for a goalscorer in January.

Arsene Wenger’s side have made a solid start to the campaign, but may be reluctant to sell in January in order to preserve a title challenge.

Giroud has proved his value from the bench with an impressive display against Sunderland, where he scored twice in two touches to secure all three points at the Stadium of Light.
