Tottenham Hotspur fans saw their side beat Leicester City 3-0 on Sunday afternoon, and after the match they took to social media to reflect on the performance of a key man.
There were some doubts over whether Spurs would be able to impose themselves on a side who are good to watch and full of attacking danger under Brendan Rodgers, however those fears were soon quashed as Jose Mourinho’s men raced ahead and never looked back.
Tottenham led after just six minutes when Leicester defender James Justin saw his deflection from a Son Heung-Min shot ricochet into the net and it got better for the Londoners before half-time.
Harry Kane took over as the break approached, and found the net twice in quick succession to put the game beyond Leicester, and ensure that Spurs finished their home campaign with three points to their name.
The England captain showed his finishing skills for his first goal, before cutting inside and curling a delightful effort into the far corner to effectively wrap up the win for his side.
Kane’s brace were his 16th and 17th strikes of the Premier League campaign, so he still has the chance of clocking up 20 goals for the season despite missing much of the term through injury.
That would be a great achievement in its own right, but the fact he looks to be finishing strongly is something that is beginning to excite Tottenham fans, who are already looking ahead even though they have one match still to play.
Spurs supporters believe that a Kane in this form could turn them into contenders for silverware again next season, and based on the quality of his performance against Leicester, they could be on to something.
That display was not lost on the Tottenham fans when they took to social media after the final whistle to laud their superstar.
