Bjorn Engels has taken to Twitter to express his delight at joining Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.
Engels has moved to Villa – who will play in the Premier League next season after clinching promotion from the Championship via the playoffs – from French club Reims for a transfer fee reported by The Express & Star to be worth £9 million.
The 24-year-old central defender has arrived at Villa Park with a strong reputation, having been successful during his time at Club Brugge and Reims.
According to WhoScored, the former Belgium Under-21 international made 33 appearances in Ligue 1 for Reims last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.
Engels has taken to Twitter to express his delight at completing his move to Villa this summer.

Busy summer for Aston Villa
Villa have been quite busy in the summer transfer window and have made quite a number of signings already.
The Villans have secured the services of Jota from Birmingham City, Wesley from Club Brugge, Matt Targett from Southampton and Ezri Konsa from Brentford.
Dean Smith’s side have also made the loan deals of Anwar El Ghazi, Kortney Hause and Tyrone Mings permanent from Lille, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth respectively.
