Tottenham Hotspur defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s progress to the final of the Champions League at the expense of Ajax.
Spurs got the better of Ajax 3-2 away from home at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie on Wednesday evening.
The result means that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have progressed to the final on away goals’ rule, after the tie finished 3-3 on aggregate.
On Wednesday evening, Ajax were 2-0 in the lead after 35 minutes, and it did not look that Tottenham had any chance of staging a comeback.
Lucas Moura, though, had other ideas, as the Brazil international winger scored a stunning hat-trick in the second half, including the winner in the sixth minute of injury time.
Wanyama – who earns £65,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – has revelled in the win on Twitter for Tottenham in a very understated way.
