Jose Mourinho has been quick to do his Manchester United transfer business this summer, with four new acquisitions at Old Trafford during the current window.
It is highly unlikely that the Red Devils will be active on Wednesday’s transfer deadline day, but there is one move that would make perfect sense for the title hopefuls and complete a very progressive window.
Right-back remains an area where the Manchester side lack a tried and tested option, with Antonio Valencia first choice for Mourinho’s men and Matteo Darmian also available for the Portuguese coach.

However, United have been consistently linked with a move for Monaco defender Fabinho over the course of the last two months and capturing the Brazilian right-back would be a shrewd move.
The South American has impressed at the French club over recent years and his attacking instincts would be a real asset to the Old Trafford side.

A solid and intelligent defender, Fabinho has experience of playing international and Champions League football and can also feature in midfield if so required.
The Manchester club signed Anthony Martial from Monaco late in the summer window last year and another deal with the French club makes sense.
As such, although United have conducted their major transfer business already, landing Fabinho would be the icing on the cake for Mourinho’s men.
